Semaglutide works to suppress the appetite by stimulating insulin production in the pancreas after eating, which triggers the stomach to empty more slowly, and sends a signal to the brain telling your body it’s full. What to Expect?
At your initial consultation, all questions will be answered and lab work will be done to ensure you are a good candidate. At this visit, your first dose of semaglutide will be given and a one week appointment will be set for your second dose of semaglutide. Your prescribed medication should be delivered prior to your third weekly shot so self administration and proper sharps disposal instructions will be given.
At your 30 day follow up visit, we will evaluate your progress, discuss lab results and dosage titration. Then you are all set to embark on your weight loss journey. We will see you again at the 12 week mark to assess your results and determine if an extension program is needed.
